How Do I Connect to School Network Printer?

I have both Vista Premium and XP Professional.
I tried "Find Printer" but it gives me the Active Directory Domain is currently Unavailable error.
I tried searching through the Network page, but could not connect to any printer.
Are there any other ways I could try to connect to school printer?
All network devices have an IP address.
You’ll have to ask the school’s network admin guy for the IP address and you’ll need to install the correct printer driver for that printer.
