Access domain share folder from Vista home premium?

I know VIsta Home premium can’t join domain. Just wonder if there is a way to access the shared folder on a domain member server.

Yes there is. Your admin probably has told you that your version of VIsta is not compatible with the domain. He is right in a way. You can map a drive to a share on the domain, but you will need to enter your domain username and password everytime, or save them in cached credentials. (Note if saved, when or if you change your domain password, you will need to update).

Right mouse click on My Computer. Select Map Network Drive. Type in the address of the network share. \\servername\networkshare Before you select save or connect, there is a hyperlink below that states log in with different credentials. Select it and type domainname\username as the username Insert your domain and username. Then type your password on the next line. The network admin may also write a log in script to help you connect to that drive. Note: he may not want to because in the log in script he will have to enter your username and password. This could be a security risk.
