What is a good domain name for Sleek Web Design?

My company is Sleek Web Design. I want a .com domain but sleekwebdesign.com is taken and sleekweb.com is a premium and costs too much. Please help me with some ideas. Please and Thank You!
It is a web design company. I would like sleekwebdesign in the name though :/

I am currently having a design team working on a one of a kind website. I have a domain that is one of a kind, as well as the same domain name in a twitter .com This is a premium domain name and it should continue to grow fo many years. I have ideas on how to promote but I am no pro. Where do I look to find someone to help. I am not intrested in a SEO professional as the domain will SEO itself even with an average SEO effort. Do I need someone who knows the net or should I try myself?

Is it ethical godaddy.com & domain.com to hold your domain name ransome?

I’ve been opening business for clients 12 yrs+ & this has happened to me as well as numerous customers over the years. You goto godaddy or domain.com & check your domain name. You check a few domain names you want and figure there’s no way these unusual names will be taken by the time you go back to save them. 3 weeks later you come back and each one of those name are taken by different entities and will sell to you now at a much higher PREMIUM!!

NEWSFLASH!!…they are all taken by the same site you just went to prev but surreptitiously under a subsidiary/connected company to godaddy.com or domain.com!!

How ethical is this? Is this type of underhanded sales-sneakiness legal?

Greed is their priority, not people. I’ve no desire to use these websites because I’ve been warned about them that they do that before. You have to be careful.

Yahoo doesn’t seem to have these complaints so I go to their domain search. Link below:

i want to design a new website with word press.com. i have have already registered the domain name. Now i want few plug ins and so i need premium word press account.

Most of my plug ins will be SEO(Search engine optimization) based like keyword plug ins for every page.. etc…so which premium features should i choose?

wordpress have loads of great s.e.o plugins, a couple of the best are the all-in-one seo pack and Google XML Sitemaps

wordpress is seo’ed pretty well anyway and if you to too much then you could ruin its natural ability for your site to be indexed with ease,

seo is about what you put into it, your text, titles and descriptions are the most important things that must be manually inputted as automation is not as good in the descriptive seance as all it does is take text from that page.

there are lots of techniques but no amount of plugins will do it for you.

A premium Wordpress.com account gives you more features like your own domain name and custom CSS, however plugins are not permitted on a Wordpress.com website.

In order to have a site that uses plugins, you will need a self-hosted site that runs the Wordpress.org software.

For that you will need a web host. There are many web hosts available these days. A popular one (and one that I use) is Hostgator.

So I want to make a new website and I am currently using weebly for my other websites, however, it does not let me put files on the website for people to download until I sign up for premium. It’s not that I have a problem with paying it’s just that I would like to establish the website properly before I start paying for premium and domain names etc.

You CAN use Webs.com, However there is a limit to the sizes you can hold. So i recommend uploading them to something like Mediafire.com

premium email service?

I am looking to pay for a premium email account so I’m no longer tied into my ISP. I don’t want to buy a domain name (which is what most of them seem to push towards) nor do I want a gmail/ymail/hotmail "personal info harvesting" freebie service. Just a reasonably priced premium mail service. Can anyone make any recommendations.

independance Which I think is what you mean by Premium usually means your own domain name… however obscure.

And that means you need your own address, is flexibility and bargaining power.
Otherwise you are just moving from an ISP offering email and broadband to one offering email only .. which is still a lock in of service.
Yahoo, gmail etc do offer a paid for service ..(as well as the free one) and then you can take you name/business to another provider when you want or need to. eg if it went bust or charged too much etc. or you caught it doing things you did not like.

So for a genuinely independant service you need your own name (2.99 a year for a .uk one) and a service eg one and one offer 2GB of storage for 0.69p/month,,,, and more if you need it.

If you go with another providers domain name, it will be no different than the paid for services of yahoo for example…. in fact perhaps Paid for Yahoo where you have a contract and not a free service where you have no contract (because there is no money exchanged) would be what you need ?

Otherwise, I think you need to define premium better.
Or is it just not the current big names associated with Free services.
(of which only google – free and they do also do a oaid for service… – is the only one actively data mining)

I suggest you bite the bullet and choose a domain name… it is only a small charge and it will belong to you if anything goes wrong..

Website Designer question?

I created a website at wix and after upgrading my account to premium package I linked my own domain name to the site, but my website does not show on any search engineer, it only comes up if I type my domain on the address bar, otherwise none search engineer pick my site.
Is there any test that can be run to check why my website is not shown on search engineers, in order for me to fix this problem?
I have had websites before, not from wix, and I have never experienced this problem.
