He sure is a snake …
He sure is a snake oil salesman but your attitude sucks. Why use that name?

Anyway it was reported that 30% of the crowd was a White House invite and 70% was done by the collage. Not sure how they choose the crowd but those are the facts.

This guy “dun” lost his mind.

    Do you know what …
Do you know what the so called “free-market” is? It is you, and it is jermico007, and it is me. It’s everyone. All it really implies is that people are free to interact and trade with each-other. The “free-market” is voluntary, it is mutual.

You cannot have a free market when there is a violent institution forcing people to interact, or forcing them not to.

The government just takes what it wants, or you get thrown into a state rape room. How enlightened. How civilized.

  11. Jcolinsol Says:

    Sure the state CAN …
Sure the state CAN provide services (as a monopoly, participation with which is enforced with threats of violence) but the question of whether they should is much more complex, and the answer is relative to each individual and their preferences.

Anyone who understands how economics works, can see why state services are destructive. It squashes diversity, disrupts the equilibrium of pricing, and under-serves the market.

Don’t project YOUR preferences on EVERYONE by force.

  12. Jcolinsol Says:

    Now that scares me. …
Now that scares me. You cannot be so blind as to not see the violence inherent in the system. What do you think the police are? What do you think the military is for? This is a state monopoly on the use of violent coercion.

There is overwhelming evidence of state violence, there is no question that this is a fact.

If you are so ignorant as to be unaware of the fundamental basis of your political system, you are unqualified to be making prescriptions for social change.

  13. saagaadoghjem Says:

    Violence and threat …
Violence and threat? I don’t believe that.
The State can provide health care and it should!

  14. jermico007 Says:

    this is a SMALL …
this is a SMALL example of how Government phucks EVERYTHING up. HMOs is a nother example. Your Stalinist Democrat GOD ted kennedy WROTE the HMO bill!!! how is that working out for ya. HMOs was created to help REDUCE THE COST OF HEALTHCARE!!!!!! IT FAILED!!!!!
The thought was that if just government made some rules that the evil Insurance companies had to follow that would reduce cost… well guess what. a year after HMO became legal, healthcare cost rose 800% and 500% over the next five years

  15. jermico007 Says:

You as a free man …
You as a free man should be able to either choose MY services for 20 or 30 bucks or go to the hospital and pay 1500-2000 dollars for the same thing. Government FORCES you via Regulation to take the high priced one because my business would not even Exist because of law and regulation. If I screw up and your cut gets infected I can be held liable ONLY if I was reckless and disregarded safety Procedures. and because of LAWS i would not be able to give you antibiotics.

  16. jermico007 Says:

    ie Regulation, …
ie Regulation, makes it impossible for people to practice medicine. Tort laws, Education requirements, Degree requirements, Internship requirement, Payment Requirements, Patient requirements, Medical Requirement and mandates. If I know how to clean stitch someones cut because of Military Training or community College textbooks or whatever, I cannot BY LAW open a small shop to provide cleaning and stitching of wounds unless I had so many years of Training as required by law.

  17. jermico007 Says:

    there are TWO (2) …
there are TWO (2) pilars to freedom, Physical Freedom and Financial Freedom. You cannot make an arguement that if we paid 100% in taxes but got everything we wanted freedom. By definition the entity that pays makes the rules. Freedom is ABSENT of these financial rules. as for Free Markets to which I know you know nothing about based on your last post, if something has to be created then it is NOT a free Market. Competition already exists within the market but federal Rules

  18. Jcolinsol Says:

    Yesm, but WHY do …
Yesm, but WHY do you believe that? And WHY should everyone in society be forced to do what you believe is right, via threat of violence?

Sop projecting your personal value judgments onto people with force.

I am all for global free access to health-care, but I’m not so stupid as to appeal to the state to provide it.

The state is terrible at service provision, because it is a violent monopoly. Achieve your aims through voluntary interaction, not death threats, that is the only sustainable way.

  19. Jcolinsol Says:

    Yes, when the …
Yes, when the government takes peoples money it is extortion, it impinges your freedom.

How would you like it if your neighbor forced you to hand over a % of your income at gunpoint every year? It’s no different, the state is just a group of people.

  20. saagaadoghjem Says:

    Are all Americans …
Are all Americans capitalists?! God, that’s sad.

  21. saagaadoghjem Says:

    So you think that …
So you think that your freedom is taken away from you because you have to pay more in taxes. You still have the choice to get treatment in the private hospitals. And private hospitals vs. public hospitals will create competition and secure your beloved free market.

  22. saagaadoghjem Says:

    I believe that the …
I believe that the State should control services like health care or child care. But people still have the right to choose their own doctors and schools. the only difference is that you don’t have to pay for it. But yes there will always be a private sector as an alternative to the public one, but that just improves the quality of the treatments. All I’m saying is that Unviversal Health Care is necessary for those who can’t afford insurance.

  23. captwasabi Says:

” We have to do …
” We have to do what businesses and families do — we’ve got to cut out the things we don’t need to pay for the things we do” BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAA Yeah, right. This fool asks his Cabinet to cut costs in their departments by $100 million — a whopping .0027% and has the nerve to make comments like the above? I can’t wait to see him get voted out of office. His own VP said he wasn’t ready and that the country would fare better under McCain!

  24. jermico007 Says:

    Simple …
Simple understanding of economics and all this is well understood. But asking a liberal communist to read or understand the principles of freedom and a free market is like holy water to Dracula!

  25. jermico007 Says:

    Both socialism and …
Both socialism and communism empower the state to control lives and the distribution of wealth and scarce Resorces. Both systems disincentives the ability to create wealth and/or profit which ensures a limited supply at a low cost and that makes rationing manditory and usually will only go to A. The government and officials, or the rich and well connected. Liberals rail on this yet their policies creates the very scarcity In which liberal reject
